1. Introduction

Welcome to YasNah

An independent development studio, STC Labs, (“us”, “we”, “our” and “STC Labs”) operates the website https://yasnah.com, related web application, APIs and documentation, as well as the YasNah mobile applications (hereinafter referred to as “Service”).

Everyone’s privacy is important to us. At STC Labs, we believe that privacy is a paramount human right and fundamental basis of any high functioning society. In fact, STC Labs was founded with privacy as one of its core values and a goal to develop all our products with privacy and safety in mind at all stages. That includes first and foremost your right to privacy.

This Privacy Policy explains the personal data that STC Labs collects and processes, how it processes data, and for what purposes data is collected and processed. This Privacy Policy further describes our commitment to preserving the privacy and security of your personal data. This policy applies to all interactions that STC Labs has with you through your use of our products and services. Our Privacy Policy governs your visit to the Service, and explains how we collect, safeguard, and disclose if ever, information that results from your use of our Service.

We use your data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, the terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms of Service.

Our Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern all use of our Service and together with the Privacy Policy constitute your agreement with us (“Agreement”).

USAGE DATA is data collected automatically either generated by the use of Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).

5. Retention of Data

We will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

We will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our Service, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to – and maintained on – computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.

STC Labs will take all the steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.

7. Disclosure of Data

We may disclose personal information that we collect, or you provide:

  1. Disclosure for Law Enforcement.Under certain circumstances, we may be required to disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
  2. Business Transaction.If we or our subsidiaries are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your Personal Data may be transferred.

8. Security of Data

The security of your data is important to us but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

The Service includes the functionality of data synchronization between your devices via our own infrastructure as well as via third-party cloud storage service providers. Your data is being encrypted with the latest commercially available encryption algorithms and protocols both at rest and before being transferred anywhere out of your device. Cryptographic keys used for such encryption are also reliably stored in secure environments (also known as keychains, vaults, and conclaves) within your devices only.

Please beware that if you lose access to all your devices used for access to secure features of the Service and thus to all of your cryptographic keys – we will not be able to help you to regain access to your encrypted data in any way. We are not storing or sending your private cryptographic keys under any circumstances.

9. Your Data Protection Rights Under General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

10. Your Data Protection Rights under the California Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA)

CalOPPA is the first state law in the nation to require commercial websites and online services to post a privacy policy. According to CalOPPA, we agree to the following:

  1. users can visit our site anonymously;
  2. our Privacy Policy link includes the word “Privacy”, and can easily be found on the page specified above on the home page of our website;
  3. users will be notified of any privacy policy changes on our Privacy Policy Page;
  4. users are able to change their personal information by emailing us at support@stclabs.dev

Our Policy on “Do Not Track” Signals:Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected.

No uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy policy.

11. Your Data Protection Rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you are entitled to learn what data we collect about you, ask to delete your data, and not to sell (share) it. To exercise your data protection rights, you can make certain requests and ask us:

    Please note, you are entitled to ask us to provide you with this information up to two times in a rolling twelve-month period. When you make this request, the information provided may be limited to the personal information we collected about you in the previous 12 months.

    If you make this request, we will delete the personal information we hold about you as of the date of your request from our records and direct any service providers to do the same. In some cases, the deletion may be accomplished through the de-identification of the information. If you choose to delete your personal information, you may not be able to use certain functions that require your personal information to operate.
  3. To stop selling your personal information.
    We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. However, under some circumstances, a transfer of personal information to a third party, or within our family of companies, without monetary consideration may be considered a “sale” under California law.

If you submit a request to stop selling your personal information, we will stop making such transfers. If you are a California resident, to opt-out of the sale of your personal information, click “Do Not Sell My Data” at the bottom of our home page to submit your request.

Please note, if you ask us to delete or stop selling your data, it may impact your experience with us, and you may not be able to participate in certain programs or membership services that require the usage of your personal information to function. But in no circumstances, we will discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

12. Note to California Users

California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the “Shine The Light” law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year.If you are a California resident and would like to make such a request, please submit your request in writing to us using the contact information provided below.

If you are under 18 years of age, reside in California, and have a registered account with the Service, you have the right to request the removal of unwanted data that you publicly post on the Service. 15. Behavioral Remarketing

STC Labs uses remarketing services to advertise on third party websites to you after you used our Service. We and our third-party vendors use cookies to inform, optimize and serve ads based on your past visits to our Service.

16. Payments

We may provide paid products and/or services within the Service. In that case, we use third-party services for payment processing (e.g. payment processors).

We will not store or collect your payment card details. That information is provided directly to our third-party payment processors, whose use of your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy. These payment processors adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Our Services at present are not intended for use by persons under the age of 18 (“Child” or “Children”).
